and his incredible handler Joey Ramp, founders of Sampson’s Legacy Foundation.Sampson, the pioneering golden retriever service dog, has been Joey's loyal partner through thick and thin—helping with balance, picking up items, and even alerting to stressors from PTSD after a life-changing accident. Together, they've broken barriers by proving service dogs can safely work in labs (complete with adorable doggy PPE like goggles and booties! 🥽🥾).

Their foundation carries on this beautiful legacy, advocating for handlers in STEM, developing safe access protocols, and providing scholarships and support to make science dreams come true for more disability teams. @bunsenbernerbmd Don’t know if either of the dogs in our home has taught any sounds to another dog, but I can say that when the dogs get boarded one of them often comes home with new linguistic skills.
