O Brasil é uma nação soberana que tem travado combate permanente contra o Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC), o Comando Vermelho (CV) e as demais facções e milícias que praticam o terrorismo nos territórios em que vivem milhões de famílias. Aprovamos recentemente uma lei de combate às facções e milícias com penas que chegam a até 80 anos de prisão – a maior prevista em toda a legislação brasileira. O Governo do Brasil conduz o programa “Brasil contra o Crime Organizado”, que combate as facções e milícias desde o seu braço armado nas esquinas até o seu andar de cima.

O crime organizado não respeita fronteiras e seu combate exige ação conjunta. Construímos, ao longo de décadas, parcerias com vários países, inclusive com os Estados Unidos. O Brasil apresentou em 16 de abril deste ano, ao Departamento de Estado dos EUA, uma proposta focada na inteligência e na cooperação internacional que inclui ampliação dos controles sobre a lavagem de dinheiro praticada no exterior e sobre o tráfico de armas enviadas ao Brasil.

Qualquer colaboração internacional para o combate às facções será bem-vinda. Seguimos dispostos a construir soluções conjuntas benéficas aos países envolvidos. Mas não aceitaremos o uso de medidas arbitrárias vindas do estrangeiro como pretexto para atacar a nossa soberania e a nossa economia.
