My blood and sweat please
Coming up with this design direction took all the mental work I could boost, it’s not under my nose somebody will steal it😭🖐🏽
Posting this so no other tourist falls victim to this scammer.
This is a popular beach guy called Ibrahim also popularly called Ability by the locals and other beach boys.
Ibrahim is a scammer. He and his crew look for unsuspecting tourists and trick them into paying him for activities or tours. His MO is to pretend like he’s negotiating the best deal with you, offer you a fake receipt and then run away with your money. He stops picking calls, blocks you and anyone else he may have linked you with (usually drivers he connects you with) and will not unblock them until he’s sure you’ve left the country.
They have a whole ring. I’ll post a video with more details on how they operate but avoid them. I heard they even scammed a particular tourist of up to $3,000… the local police won’t help you either.
AVOID THE BEACH BOYS and avoid Ibrahim especially. Repost! You might be saving someone.
That thread was necessary, as a girl in her young 20s I'm awakened to the fact that:
1. You can always be more
2. Whatever you pursued for undergraduate doesn't have to necessarily determine your Masters or PhD
3. Black women are more than the eyes meet
4. There's no academic limit, you can keep on going and going and going
So a letter to my 10 years self from now, "represent us well, Ik you can"
This post will always remain here for anyone still waiting on their degree. When you finally complete yours, feel free to quote it and pass the encouragement on to another woman on the same journey.
