Pearl Jam playing “Black” at Seattle’s Magnuson Park (Sept 20, 1992) is one of those shows where you can feel the air change. Eddie straight up admits it’s hard to sing, asks the crowd to help, and then the whole place carries it with him. Absolute goosebumps.

Perry Bamonte, the guitarist and keyboardist in the Cure, has died after battling a short illness over Christmas. He was 65.

The Cure confirmed Bamonte’s death on the band’s website on Friday, remembering his contributions to the group during his two stints in the band, first from 1990 through 2005, and then from 2022 until now.
