— 📰 NEW: Reflection on a Statement of Shaikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah By Shaikh Abdur Razzaq Al-Badr
Excerpt: Imam As-Sadi, may Allah have mercy upon him, said that Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:
Whoever accepts the statements of the atheists is one of two men: either he is ignorant of their reality or he is a wrong doer who desires haughtiness and corruption in the earth, or he is one who combines both traits. This was the trait of the followers of Fir...

Ibn Taymiyyah: "If the slave witnesses that the reason of all of what he attains of what is detested is his sins, then he will become preoccupied with repentance and seeking forgiveness from sins."
[Jāmi' al-Masā'il (1/168)]
Nothing gladdens the hearts of Ahl al-Sunnah more than seeing the Ahlul-'Ilm united upon goodness.

An Excellent Opportunity to Spend Time with the Qur’ān post Fajr
After a short break of around 14 days, Shaykh ʿAbdur-Razzāq al-Badr حفظه الله has resumed his highly beneficial post-Fajr Tafsīr as-Saʿdī lessons from al-Masjid an-Nabawī, Madīnah.
The format of these lessons is very simple:
The reader first recites the Qur’ān verse and the related Tafsīr of Shaykh as-Saʿdī رحمه الله.
Then the Shaykh explains each verse one by one, adds commentary, reads from Tafsīr as-Saʿdī, and provides additional fawāʾid where needed.
The lessons are filled with benefits from the statements of the Ṣaḥābah, the Salaf, Ibn al-Qayyim, and later scholars such as Shaykh as-Saʿdī and Shaykh Ibn ʿUthaymīn رحمهم الله.
These lessons have been ongoing for nearly 2 years now that too on daily basis (almost), with 380+ lessons completed so far.
His Arabic is very simple, with lots of repetition of similar Vocabulary. So in few lessons you will become comfortable, provided you have some basics in Arabic, InshāAllah. Even better is to keep translation of Tafseer As Sa'di with you to follow along.
The Shaykh is currently explaining:
Sūrah al-Aʿrāf - around verse 19,20

In the Haram in Madeenah - His seating is at the intersection of Baab Quba & Baab Malik Saud
This is an excellent time to occupy yourself with the study of the Qur’ān - especially at such a blessed time after Fajr, a time filled with barakah.
Spend time with the Qur’ān: through recitation, translation, tajwīd, memorisation, tafsīr, reflection and acting upon it. Try to touch all these aspects as much as possible.
There is immense reward and barakah in time spent with the Book of Allāh. As mentioned from the people of knowledge and the Salaf, whenever they increased in their connection with the Qur’ān, they found great increase in the barakah of their time.
May Allāh make us from the people of the Qur’ān - those who recite it, understand it, reflect upon it, act upon it, and call others to it.
آمين.

Excerpt: Al-Allamah Siddiq Hasan Khan, may Allāh have mercy upon him, said:
It is forbidden for a mufti to assist the one seeking a verdict, directing him to his request, or giving him a verdict (merely) based on what is apparent that will lead him to his goal when presented with an issue of the religion wherein there is trickery to drop an obligation, make a prohibited act lawful, plo...

10. My father - Shaykh Ḥammād al-Anṣārī said:
“In my view, photography is permissible but I do not issue a fatwā on this out of respect for the scholars of fatwā in this land, as they hold it to be prohibited.”
I say: On one occasion my father was browsing through the newspaper al-Muslimīn when he came across a large headline to the effect that Shaykh Ibn ʿUthaymīn had declared photography permissible. My father remarked: “This is what I said before.”
