@Pedram_Can@JerusalemKing_ You're nothing but a homeless person in Europe. Everyone looks down on you with contempt. Do you think licking the feet of Jews will make you look like Shapur or Khosrow?
@mishkabear1984@JerusalemKing_ I admit that polygamy exists in my religion within the limits of one's ability to handle it. But you're throwing stones at me while ignoring your own glass house.
@mishkabear1984@JerusalemKing_ Is that really what you concluded from reading the text? (Do not take too many wives.) Doesn’t (too many) imply that having more than one is permitted? A Muslim ruler like Atatürk could ban polygamy in his country. but the Quranic text itself remained unchanged.
@mishkabear1984@JerusalemKing_ People of high rank should not take too many wives. This implies more than one was permitted. Those who marry four are usually of high rank. It is a practical matter because treating four wives fairly is extremely difficult without the means of someone of high rank.
@mishkabear1984@JerusalemKing_ The text is clear. If you cannot treat them justly. Then one wife is enough. I think Judaism has something similar. As you know. exceptions sometimes occur for certain individuals and those of high rank.
@mishkabear1984@JerusalemKing_ Seriously. are you going to make us talk about inheritance? Your house is even more fragile than glass. And as for polygamy. This verse from the Qur’an is enough: “But if you fear that you will not be just, then [marry only] one.” [Qur’an 4:3]
