👏👏👏 This thread is a measured, first hand look at #CBME. Well said Riggsy.

"assessment as imagined" clearly isn't "assessment as done" for CBME. The unintended consequences are worth acknowledging and #human-centered #design is needed.

It is clear to me that CBME is here to stay.

For the next design iteration (much needed), we need to understand perspectives from all sides and bring actionable items to the table. This includes input from arguably the most important end-user: the resident learner. (2/2)

@riggsy highlights important UX design “failures”(?). Also equally important to recognize that CBME is beyond just the EPA assessments. The package that is the CBD curriculum has merits (and leading educators had the best of intentions in creating it). (1/2)
