Can I just say how awful a look this was for the NBA? I showed my 6th grade class Game 5 and they were mad confused at the intros. Even though the Knicks were champions, it made them look like a joke. Just a stupid thing to do. You want to put villain music like the Yankees do with Imperial March that’s appropriate, or just have the vocals naked with the crowd booing. But this distorted the archives and just looks silly. And you lost all 3 games at home. You got what you deserved. @spurs

Josh "We went to you as the hub. You dictated everything–getting JB, OG, Mikal involved-and you sacrificed your own points, touches, shots…we were down 2-1…"
KAT "I appreciate you saying that
(extended applause)
…You guys heard me out…Mike heard…To have teammates like that who believe in me…at a big point in the season…I had to go out show the best version of myself…All I ever ask JB…1st day I got here…'I wanna amplify you…anytime you go anywhere you're never alone, you always have someone behind you'…I only asked for one thing, one thing (points to trophy) it's all I asked in return. And JB's a man of his word cause now we're sitting here with the trophy"

This is Gwoka, a vibrant tradition from the French Caribbean Islands of Guadeloupe 🇬🇵.
The creolized expression by enslaved African people during the seventeenth century, Gwoka was used as a form of communication and expression via music, song, dance, and cultural practices to celebrate and pass on the stories of Guadeloupean people and society.
Looks familiar?
"Yo, I'm tryin' hard to explore
I'm not sure what are the racial wars for
It's makin' me more sore
I walk through a color blind corridor
Seekin' for peace in the people I'm meetin'..."

Walt "Clyde" Frazier scored 36 Points on 12/17 FG (70.6%), 12/12 FT, 7 Rebounds, 9 Assists, 5 Steals in Game 7 vs. the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1970 NBA Finals, leading the Knicks to their first-ever championship.
May 8th, 1970
Also, with the inspiring and injured Willis Reed (it is also called "The Willis Reed Game"), who had 4 points.
The Knicks won 113-99.
Willis Reed was also selected to be the Finals MVP, though some may argue Walt Frazier deserved it.
Reed averaged 23.0 PPG on 48.4% FG and 58.8%, 10.5 Rebounds, and 2.8 Assists vs. Wilt Chamberlain
Walt Frazier averaged 17.6 PPG on 54.1% FG, 77.5% FT, 7.7 Rebounds, and 10.4 Assists.
