On the way home, Israeli undercover police opened fire on their car, mistaking it for a threat.

Ali, 37. His wife Wa'ad, 35. Mohammed, 5. Othman, 7. All shot in the head. Dead.

The two surviving boys, 8 and 11, watched it happen.

One of them asked a soldier: "Do you love your father and mother? Then why did you kill my father and mother?"

Israel has promised an investigation. Less than 1% of complaints about harm to Palestinians result in indictment.
