I wonder in 20 years how history books will talk about this period in politics. Will they be consistent with the truth or cater to the reality of their authors/publishers? Will facts become fiction and fiction becomes facts? #weirdthoughts#Politics
Just saw the film NETWORK (1976) last night, the saddest aspect of watching older films is seeing todays issues addressed 40 years ago. A phenomenal masterpiece way ahead of it's time. #classicmovies#timeisaflatcircle
@dee_fenz#1stAmendment refers to communication, a social construct that is an inherent human function. #2ndAmendment refers to possession of a weapon. Entirely different concepts and topics. To learn more about the art of Straw Man arguments I suggest @prageru
Gun ownership is still a thing in Australia. When the #2ndAmendment was written, guns could fire on average 3 rounds per minute. Mass shootings by individuals were impossible back then. Banning certain types of weapons doesn't violate the constitution.
Australia had one mass shooting in 1996 and passed gun laws to ban semi-automatic and military weapons. There have been 0 mass shootings since then. This whole narrative about guns not being the problem is BS. #BanAssaultWeaponsNow
