The AFNOG formation activity started in 2023 with the support from the @ApnicFoundation's Digital Leap South Asia project. The Foundation has been funding the activities along with 3 other Internet initiatives: AFSIG, AFyIGF and @IGFAfghanistan, accredited by the UN @intgovforum
