🚨🇫🇷 Zinedine Zidane on who has the greater World Cup legacy Messi or Mbappé:
"Mbappé is extraordinary, at 27 years old, he has already won a World Cup, played in two World Cup finals, won a Golden Boot, scored in World Cup finals, and established himself as one of the most decisive players on football's biggest stage. Very few players in history can match what he has achieved at such a young age."
"But Lionel Messi's World Cup story is different. He carried the hopes of Argentina for nearly two decades, played across multiple generations, broke countless records, and eventually completed football by lifting the World Cup."
"Messi's legacy isn't only about winning. It's about consistency, leadership, playmaking, goals, assists, and delivering unforgettable moments across five World Cups. He turned pressure into greatness and left a mark that will be remembered forever."
"Mbappé still has many years ahead of him. He has everything needed to build one of the greatest World Cup legacies ever seen. But today, Messi's story is complete, while Mbappé's is still being written."
"Mbappé is chasing history. Messi became history."
Rafael Nadal: "Messi is better than Ronaldo"
Roger Federer: "My wife watches football only because of Messi"
Djokovic: "It was an honor to meet him, Lionel Messi. I respect and admire him a lot"
Alcaraz: "It's crazy that he's here, meters away from me. I wish to shake his hand"
🚨🗣️ Sadio Mané on the GOAT debate between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo:
“Honestly, playing with Cristiano Ronaldo was an incredible experience and I’m truly happy I had the chance to share the pitch with him. His mentality, discipline and dedication are on another level. But if you ask me about the greatest player ever, my answer has always been Messi. I chose Messi years ago when both of them were in their prime… and after training and playing with Ronaldo, I realized my decision was the correct one for me.”
“Cristiano is a machine. In training he scores headers constantly, his power shots are unbelievable and he’s extremely clinical with simple chances, tap-ins and finishing inside the box. He works harder than almost anyone I’ve ever seen.”
“But Messi is something completely different. What Messi does on the pitch cannot be taught or created through training alone. The way he dribbles past 2, 3, 4, even 5 defenders and then scores beautiful goals like it’s nothing… I honestly don’t think Ronaldo can do those kinds of things naturally in a match.”
“With Ronaldo you admire the work ethic and the obsession to improve. With Messi you watch football and feel magic. That’s the difference for me.”
"Why did you think of joining Inter Miami?"
Casemiro 🗣️- "It's simple, i had achieved everything in my football career, the only thing remaining was that I wanted to play with the Greatest player of all time Lionel Messi "
Elegancia, temple, vestimenta seria
🎙️ Zlatan Ibrahimović on Bruno Fernandes’ assist record and why Lionel Messi was operating on a different level:
“Bruno Fernandes matching assist records set by players like Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne is a strong achievement. It reflects consistency, vision, and real quality in the final third.
But with Messi, it was never just about matching records — it was about bending what people thought was even possible.
I’ve seen him produce a season in La Liga with 21 assists, while still scoring goals at an elite level. That’s not normal creativity — that’s complete control of a football match from start to finish.
What made it even more ridiculous was how routine it looked. No special conditions, no perfect system built just for him — he just created chances in every type of game, every week.
Most players are either creators or finishers. Messi was both, at the highest level, in the same season, in the same matches.
That’s why whenever people talk about assist records or attacking numbers in modern football, Messi always ends up being the reference point.
That’s not just competing with the best players in the world. That’s operating in a category of his own. Records can be matched, but with messi he didn’t just reach records, he made them look small.”
🚨🎙Marcelo;
People think the secret to defending Messi is being fast or strong. No. My secret was simple: I never, ever made him angry. When Leo is calm, he plays football like a beautiful artist pure, elegant magic.
You just want to stand there and watch him like a beautiful painting in a museum. But if you kick him, insult him, or make him mad? The beautiful artist disappears, and he turns into an unstoppable alien.
I used to tell my teammates: 'Please don't tackle him hard, don't wake up the monster!' I would always smile at him, joke with him, and help him up when he fell, just to keep him in a good mood! You can try to defend a calm genius, but no one can survive an angry Messi.
🎙️ David Beckham on choosing Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo for Inter Miami:
“When the opportunity to bring Cristiano Ronaldo came up, naturally it was something we discussed seriously. Players like Cristiano don’t come around often. His mentality, his goals, his legacy - it’s impossible not to respect that.
But for what we wanted to build at Inter Miami, Messi felt different. We weren’t only looking for a goalscorer or a global icon; we wanted someone who could transform the identity of the club and the league itself. Messi has that rare ability to make every player around him better.
The first thing you notice with Leo is that everything becomes calmer when he has the ball. Young players stop panicking, teammates start believing, and suddenly the whole team plays with confidence. That’s leadership in its purest form. Not just shouting or demanding ,but inspiring everyone through football itself.
People talk about his dribbling and goals, but what amazes me most is his understanding of the game. He sees passes before anyone else even notices the space. The way he controls the tempo, creates chances, and dictates matches is something I’ve only seen from a handful of players in history. Watching him train is like watching an artist at work.
And beyond football, Messi changed MLS completely.
The attention on the league became global overnight. Stadiums are full everywhere he goes, kids wear Inter Miami shirts all around the world now, and players suddenly look at MLS differently because of him.
Many legends have played in this league, and I’m proud to have been one of them, but the impact Messi has had is on another level entirely. He didn’t just bring quality, he brought life, excitement, and a new standard to football in America.”
