כראש ממשלת ישראל אני מתכוון להעמיק את האחדות בתוכנו.

אפעל להקים ממשלה לאומית רחבה, ממשלה יציבה שתדאג לביטחוננו ועתידנו.

אני יודע שבתקופת בחירות
יהיו ויכוחים שיקשו עלינו לראות את זה, אבל אני גם יודע שאנחנו הרבה יותר מאוחדים ממה שנדמה.

איך אני יודע?

כי ראיתי אתכם בשעת מבחן.
כי אני פוגש את הלוחמים הגיבורים שלנו.
כי ראיתי את עם ישראל על כל חלקיו במלוא תפארתו, עם שמושיט יד איש לרעהו.

והנה הלקח הגדול: בשנאת חינם נחרבנו, באהבת ישראל קמנו.
