I like how Goku needs "plot armor" to defeat Saitama when the best argument they can come up with is "Saitama wins because that's the plot of One Punch Man"
or more commonly "Saitama wins because that's how he's written" or "the point of Saitama is that he wins."
Unfortunately this is true. At least imo. Goku's only meaningful win is against Superman and no one else. Not Saitama, not Sonic, not Sung Jin Woo or whoever you can think of that "can beat Goku" or "Goku solos". Just Superman.
why Ichigo's only meaningful win is against Naruto
I really need to know what ONE has that other authors don't. It's hard to believe you can win any versus match just by saying "well my character never loses"
Is Saitama just a spoiled baby and every other show must concede he wins because his author said so.
Finally Someone Who Watches and Comprehends both the One Punch Man and Dragon Ball Series, Knows how the actual fight would go, it's either in a Stalemate or Goku loses , if you carry out deep analysis on both Characters,
If you Scrupulously follow their character based on Both Authors Narratives, Goku Can die, he can get exhausted due to Stamina, meanwhile saitama isn't shown to abide in any of these as His character still remains Invincible, He simple cannot Lose to anyone
Araki conditioned his readers to think outside the box when it comes to mundane powers.
You simply can't give anyone a simple premise without having to completely exploit it.
Boil water? Yeah boil someone's eyes or arteries.
I think Naruto vs Luffy is a subtle commentary on my life. After years of procrastinating and lazing around, the match finally caught up to me and I'm still not ready even 8 years after Naruto vs Ichigo I'm scared.
Please Oda, make Luffy destroy a star or something 😭🙏🙏🙏
"The point is that he always wins" that's genuinely stupid. Does the author hold everyone by the balls or something? Is everyone coerced to letting Saitama win just because his and only HIS narrativ said so?
Year of the Lord 2026 and we still haven't evolve pass narrative scaling
Hot Take: Saitama wins, his entire character is meant to always win
I love Goku more as a character but disregarding the very point of Saitama's character is awful.
He is always meant to win no matter how ridiculous his opponent is. Its the entire point of the manga
I feel like people are too full of themselves when it comes to Saitama about power scaling.
You don't powerscale the narrative, you powerscale their feats. Why does ONE's jurisdiction of how he writes opm supercedes anyone else's fiction just because he says Saitama always wins
If you put put saitama against anyone and he loses, I feel like you’re missing the point, like the entire point. Theres a reason why the final villains saitama fights have some ability to even the playing field, like boros having his regenerative abilities
They didn't. They explained that Saitama's exponential scaling far surpasses Goku's whose scaling only grows from specific situations.
The scaling shown was from the transformations he got which boosts his strength. Effectively eclipsing Saitama again and again.
Part of the problem of doing Death Battles with gag characters like Saitama is that you know Death Battle will force them to lose even though its literally impossible for them to have lost.
It kinda sucks that new supplemental material for Aang and gang is just finding different ways to assassinate his character by creating arbitrary flaws not present in the last Airbender.
Like what's next, a child he saved is Hitler in the new show?
Aang nearly got his whole crew killed by blindly trusting Tagah over his own friends. If he gets grace for that, why is Korra endlessly dragged for trusting her own uncle? Same flaw, different standards.
