🇸🇩 Sudan’s Armed Forces struck the Ardamata Bridge in Al Junaynah, the capital of West Darfur, destroying a key RSF supply route linking Darfur to Chad, according to open-source analyst Rich Tedd. Footage shows the bridge structure split apart and rendered unusable.

The strike hits a strategically significant crossing for the RSF, which has relied on cross-border supply lines from Chad — where a UN panel found the UAE had been providing military support “several times per week.”

Al Junaynah is also the site of the Ardamata massacre of November 2023, in which RSF forces and allied Arab militias killed between 800 and 2,000 Masalit civilians over several days, going house to house killing men and leaving bodies in the streets. A broader UN estimate put the death toll from RSF ethnic violence across El Geneina at between 10,000 and 15,000 people.
