the actual point of college is you're supposed to try and make friends or just meet as many people as possible so one of them can get you a job at their company. nobody told me this before college either, my condolences to all of us
karen used to be a term reserved for people who harassed people minding their own business (and typically racism is involved) but now you see a woman rightfully scolding some jackass endangering the lives of the community and call her karen. it’s getting to a point
And yet the French have a decent rail system, paid family leave, paid sick leave, a social safety net, 99% literacy, a younger retirement age, higher life expectancy, and so on
It took me until I got my own apartment to realize people legitimately have a different perspective than me.
