Trump & Putin: New Founding Fathers of Europe? 🧵
The king and the tsar – two sides of the same coin – attempted to divide Europe but ultimately triggered its unification.
⚜️ Putin, The Grand Strategist
In 2022, Putin attacked Ukraine, aiming to reclaim a country that, according to the Kremlin’s strategic vision, had become too aligned with the West.
Thus began the 3-day Special Military Operation, supposed to replace the Ukrainian presidency.
However, Ukraine did not fall so easily. Instead, it rallied and resisted, aided by a united and determined West. As a result, the war has dragged on until 2025.
⚜️ Trump, The Genius
His goal was twofold:
— Vietnamise the Ukrainian war on European allies, whom he views as too pacifist and always behind on the U.S. military expenditures;
— foster closer ties with Russia seeking to detach it from China.
And in this, he succeeded perfectly
Yet, amid Moscow’s applause and Europe’s outrage, Trump, through theatrical and scandalous actions, ended up pushing Euros to stand together,
and provided the impetus for increasing financial commitments to rearm (a demand long made by the US), even if burdensome for the public.
⚜️ How Could It Benefit Europe?
If the US won’t fully abandon its role in NATO and this episode is merely a tactic to fulfill a broader agenda, its isolationist tendencies have nonetheless highlighted the well-known need of deepening European integration, especially in defense.
In the past this issue remained deadlocked due to the strategic implications of each member. But the undeniable need for a common European army has the potential to push nations toward a convergence of interests, bringing about a Europe that is increasingly aware of her Self.

Ille es optimista:
«Si nos opera con determination, nos pote inverter le exodo que ha impulsate nostre meliores scientistas ultra le Atlantico. Nostre tradition de libertate academic e neutralitate in financiamientos governative poterea devenir nostre avantage competitive.»
Fin.
In un phase de crescente inquietude e passivitate politic, Draghi appella al action, sublineante que «le fortia del democratia europee» reside in su capacitate a promover innovation.
