The absence of in-person interactions leads to the dehumanization of others, portraying them as caricatures of extreme views.

This lack of personal connection contributes to a distorted perception of the opposing side's beliefs, fueled by selective exposure to extreme representations through online platforms.

The responsibility to address this issue falls on individuals to break free from echo chambers and actively engage in diverse perspectives.

However, the current political landscape lacks the necessary incentives for political leaders to facilitate inclusive dialogue and bridge divides, emphasizing the urgency to change this dynamic.
