AI, Access, and the Future of Learning: Omnibond at the 2025 MS-CC Annual Meeting
Last week, Nashville became a national stage for innovation, inclusion, and infrastructure at the 2025 Minority Serving – Cyberinfrastructure Consortium (MS-CC) Annual Meeting. Held at the Loews Nashville at Vanderbilt Plaza, the event brought together leaders from HBCUs, TCUs, HSIs, and other MSIs to explore how technology can build more equitable and sustainable learning environments.
Omnibond was proud to sponsor this year’s meeting, joining hundreds of practitioners, researchers, and educators in advancing cyberinfrastructure for data-intensive research and education programs. At our booth, we featured two of our key technologies designed to empower the modern classroom: OmniPasskey and projectEUREKA.
OmniPasskey is a secure authentication platform that simplifies identity access management, ideal for campus-wide use where data privacy and seamless logins are essential. In an era where hybrid learning and digital collaboration tools dominate, OmniPasskey supports institutions in creating frictionless, secure learning environments—especially vital for the diverse and distributed needs of MSIs.
projectEUREKA, our data-centric research enablement platform, also drew strong interest. With AI-driven insights and collaborative tools, projectEUREKA helps faculty and students turn data into discovery. As classrooms evolve into innovation labs, this platform enables new models of learning, mentorship, and experimentation—right in line with the vision shared by keynote speaker Karen Colbert.
Colbert, whose background spans workforce development and academic technology strategy, set the tone in her opening keynote by asking a simple but powerful question: “What does readiness mean in a world shaped by AI?” Her address challenged attendees to think beyond infrastructure toward inclusion, urging leaders to invest in both tools and talent to support AI-enhanced teaching.
“The future isn’t waiting for us to get comfortable,” she noted. “We have to create spaces where our students are not just consumers of AI—but architects of it.”
We couldn’t agree more.
As AI continues to redefine how we teach, learn, and connect, Omnibond remains committed to helping MSIs lead the way with purpose-built technology. The MS-CC’s work is pivotal in ensuring that underrepresented institutions are not just part of the digital transformation—but at the forefront of it.
