We just migrated our default license from MIT to @theasf Apache 2.0 across the Omni ecosystem.
Why Apache 2.0?
- Explicit patent grant protects contributors and users
- Recommended default by @cloudnativefdn for cloud-native projects
- Trusted by the foundations behind @kubernetesio, @rustlang, @typescript, and @android
Nothing changes for how you use our software. Apache 2.0 is equally permissive, while offering stronger legal protections for everyone involved.
If you're building on Omni, you're protected. If you're using Omni, you're protected. No ambiguity.

The terminal now serves itself in your browser.
`omni-terminal serve` spins up a WebSocket PTY server with a baked-in WASM frontend. One command, one binary, full terminal in your browser.
HTTPS by default with auto-generated self-signed certs on 127.0.0.1. Behind a default-on serve Cargo feature flag if you want to trim it out.

built to make it stupid clear what $MCG actually does
it shows the real use cases across @omnidotdev and @rigamixyz how it plugs in what it unlocks what it powers and why it’s the culture and coordination layer that ties the whole thing together
if you’ve been like “ok but what’s the point?” … this is the point.
@Apple chose not to support WebXR on iPhones, so we're building it.
Introducing ⊗ RDK v0.9.0 with cross-platform magic window mode for building immersive AR experiences, even if WebXR is unavailable. Works on iOS and Android alike.
