@afrisagacity We all have the right to see things through our individual prisms. However, I believe these appointments were made based on merit. The president deserves commendation & not condemnation.
@d_Advocate1 Congratulations Professor Aina.
You earned this appointment purely on merit and I know that you will not disappoint. You are an inspiration to the younger generation. Continue to soar like an eagle. You are indeed destined for greatness.
I just did a quick dive into the past heads of JAMB and found some interesting things.
Since its establishment in 1978, JAMB has had only six Registrars (including Professor Segun Aina). Interestingly, 4 out of the last 5 Registrars completed two-term tenures spanning 10 years each. The only Registrar who spent less than 10 years was the pioneer Registrar, Mr. Michael Saidu Angulu (1978–1986), who served for 8 years.
This suggests that the Board has enjoyed an unusual level of stability over the years. It would be interesting to compare this with other agencies and parastatals because I honestly cannot think of many government institutions whose heads have had the luxury of staying that long in office.
Another interesting observation is that all six Registrars were appointed directly from Nigerian universities. OAU and ABU Zaria have produced two Registrars each, while BUK and UNILORIN have produced one each.
Congratulations to the new Registrar, Professor Segun Aina. Hopefully, he builds on the gains recorded by his predecessor and further improves JAMB’s performance.
@renoomokri Bless u Reno.
Thx for always being on point. However, I beg to differ with u on this. Two people that are poor can get married so long as they have focus & plans for d future. My wife & I were not rich when we got married. Today we are very comfortable to God’s glory.
@ShehuSani My senator, with due respect, I beg to disagree with you on this issue.
The insurance coverage also provides compensations and treatment for the occupants of the vehicles involved in the accident. Remember someone may be wheel chair bound for the rest of his or life.
Resilience is not about being invulnerable to hardship. It’s about accepting adversity as part of life.
Some struggles are challenges to conquer. Others are weights to carry.
Strength doesn’t come from avoiding setbacks. It comes from refusing to be defined by suffering.
