@LiatrisFey @TheToffeeFox oh mygod! thank you for the info, I only did a light skim on their vgen just to look at their other examples, but I didn't realize that they gave shading out as a freebie.. this makes me wonder what else the reviewer was uninformed about lol... this explains a lot more

@lithiumtako agree! I think if it was a little lower, i would 100% take the artist's side, but I also expect a lot more for $1k, especially if i stated what I wanted beforehand.

imo it's the artist's job to communicate & work w the client if they accepted a commission without refs!

@TheToffeeFox personally i still think their style is inconsistent on this one, the lack of hair shading and braids detailing is really throwin me off

i def agree it's both parties at fault tho, but i feel like... as an freelancer, you're primarily customer service as well, unfortunately
