PUBLIC APPEAL TO IDENTIFY FAMILY OF MR ORIOWO GABRIEL
The Lagos State Police Command appeals to members of the public to assist in reuniting an elderly man with his family.
The man, Mr. Oriowo Gabriel, aged 83 years, was found by a kind-hearted member of the public and subsequently taken into protective Police custody at Ipaja Division, where he is currently safe and well cared for. Despite efforts by the Police to trace his family using the addresses he provided, all attempts have been unsuccessful, as the addresses have been visited and no one has been able to identify or locate his relatives.
The Command therefore humbly appeals to anyone who knows Mr. Oriowo Gabriel or has any information that could assist in reuniting him with his family or loved ones to kindly contact the DPO, Ipaja Division, on +234 803 799 3827.
Today, Muslims across Canada celebrate the start of Eid al-Adha, a celebration of generosity, compassion, and service — values at the heart of building a stronger, more prosperous future for all.
To all those celebrating, Eid Mubarak.

LESSONS FROM EMMANUEL EBOUES’S DIVORCE!
Every time I read something about Emmanuel Eboue, it makes me sad. Eboué had three children with his Belgian wife, Aurélie, whom he married before joining Arsenal.
In December 2017, Eboué told the Sunday Mirror that he was poor and homeless due to his divorce and bad investments that were under his former wife's control. In June 2019, Eboué spoke about his ongoing struggles with mental health.
I will urge every young man to marry well, to think of the future, and to consider their nationality when getting married. Today may be okay when love is blind, but think about what might happen in the future. Don’t make getting the right to stay the major criterion for your marriage. It often ends in tears.
I also think it is ‘foolishness’ for a man to entrust all his investments and wealth to his wife’s care and lose track of his money unless the wife is dependable. Love your wife, but do not abandon control. Know what you have. Be strategic!
You will get to an age where you no longer have strength, and some ‘wicked’ women can turn your children against you. That kills a man faster than not having money. For you to lose your marriage, lose your children, and not have money is an expressway to a short life.
I will rather marry someone who, if things go wrong in the Western world, we can go to our home country and show each other shege. That was a major part of my life before I got married.
I will also ask young men not to leave all their assets abroad. You may not like your country now, but it can provide the much-needed succor for you if your wife decides to take all that you have labored for abroad.
As a pastor and a legal practitioner, I know several former homeowners who are now renting a single room in the UK after being kicked out following their divorce. They lost everything, including their children, and they have no shock absorbers. Ma lo suegbe (Do not be foolish)
I know some of you reading this will say some of our people do this, but their own fight is easier than fighting a white woman in her country. I hope you understand what I did not say here.
Finally, do not spend all your money on the family and end up with nothing left.
Because of the crazy way some Gen X and Gen Z have little or no regard for marriage and are money-conscious, if your spouse is working, they must contribute to paying the family bills.
Don't walk past this post without meditating seriously on it, especially if you are yet to get married.

Capital inflows into Nigeria jumped nearly 90% in 2025, driven overwhelmingly by foreign portfolio investment as investors returned to local financial markets to chase high bond yields after economic reforms. https://t.co/pVjCQiGeVp
Neverrrrrrrr Everrrrrrrr look desperate in life. Remain calm during hard times. Understand it's just your time to suffer like every great man before you.
Thank God it's Jumu'ah. Our thanks are even further elevated as this Jumu'ah falls in the sacred month of Ramadan.
May the At-Tawwab (The Ever-Pardoning) forgive and pardon our shortcomings, common mistakes, and sins that easily beset us this holy month of Ramadan.
I also use this blessed day of Juma'ah to urge the faithful to reverence God by purifying our hearts and intentions, and live from the purity of purpose. Demonstrate honesty, trust, and show love and kindness to our brothers and sisters.
And when you do iftar, do consider the less privileged. Some people are fasting and not breaking, not by choice but by compulsion, because they have no food.
May Almighty God continue to grant salama, taqwa, shifa, and peaceful coexistence among us. And especially sabri, in these times of global tensions.
Please continue to pray for peaceful religious coexistence in Nigeria that we may be a model for the world.
Juma'at Mubarak and Ramadan Kareem.
