We just preprinted one of my favorite studies @FlatironInst. I was lucky to be part of an amazing team studying the effects of rapid cooling to preserve samples in cryoEM. Read on to learn about the limits of cryoEM for biophysics and how to overcome them https://t.co/nYXsIs88Hf
Excited to share the first project from my postdoc. We studied a ligand bound TRPV1 cryo-EM dataset with state of the art heterotgeneity methods, and developed a way to compare them with a technique we call CryoSVD.

Out just now in @eLife: MD simulations combined with transport assays to study energy and substrate coupling in the mechanism of the mammalian peptide transporter PepT2. Work with Jo Parker, @inwardopen and @philbiggin . https://t.co/uzsX2ZaAEx
Very excited to share a pre-print of my latest work on the alternating access mechanism of peptide transporters with @philbiggin and @inwardopen !

Will be a talk and poster about this at @BiophysicalSoc annual meeting next week, so see you there!
Excited to share that the first paper from the Isom lab is now available on Biorxiv!

We have investigated YhdP at the molecular level to show that it forms an envelope-spanning bridge and that putative phospholipids are found inside this bridge!
