This is the coin of Hindu king Aspavarma of Apracha Dynasty. They ruled Gandhara in first century CE. Aspvarma's grandfather was general Vispavarma.

Interestingly, their names show their Iranic ethnicity Aspa (Sanskrit Ashva) and Vispa (Sanskrit Vishva).

Not only did they adopt Hinduism/Buddhism, they also seem to have considered themselves Kshatriya as seen by their 'Varma' surname.

The NDA has rolled back a perfectly well conceived scheme to recruit talent laterally. This is the fifth big policy that has been rolled back by NDA.
The opposition is claiming victory.
Yes, NDA has rolled back, and the Opposition has won, but Bharat has lost. Yet again. Here's why:
1. The roll back on lateral entry scheme hurts the wider aim of bringing in expertise into government to make the bureaucratic system more efficient. Better bureaucracy means better governance. Better governance lifts Bharat.
2. The rollback of the 3 farm laws (facets of which were identical to laws proposed by Cong in its 2019 manifesto) denied farmers the opportunity to double their incomes. Higher farm income boosts consumption, which fires up growth. Bharat's growth.
3. Sending the bill to Amend Waqf Act of 1995 to a Parliamentary committee only weakens the secular super structure of the Constitution. Exceptions for one community only ossify faultlines the existence of which hurt national unity. A divided society is a divided Bharat.
