Some wanted more notice on #Earth2 #skin #drops so this time we tested a #20hr countdown + #premiere to give people more time to plan. If things run smoothly we might try it again in the future but we'll see how things pan out. Our devs are busy on other higher priority tasks at present so there will not be any adjustment to the drop logic.

Above all, I hope people like the skin! I've hinted a few times that I've been quite involved in the concept art & design for some of the #skins released so far but plan to reduce my involvement with this moving forward (though I still have a few ideas I'd like to see released).

My long term desire is for #Players to be able to suggest & vote on #skins or #clothing items they want to see in the #Metaverse, but we don't have time to implement the feature & automate the process just yet due to higher priorities, therefore I have a temporary compromise we can at least test out - I will tweet about it in the near future.

A quick note on #YE approvals - we received a lot more submissions than expected & while more have been flagged for approval, there is a process we're trying to adhere to plus we'd like to vet the early approvals as much as possible to set at least some form of precedence. Once the backlog is cleared we think people will have a clearer idea on what to submit reducing the number of applications and increasing the quality of the claims. Please be patient as the team works through this.

It is very important to note that this video is a mixture of #WIP footage taken throughout the year during development & testing of:

1️⃣ 🌴 the implementation and testing of our global biome system

2️⃣ 🌊 our water system which not only looks nice, but spans the entire planet and for the most part handles correct directional flow of water mass

3️⃣ 🍁 the early stages of our seasonal system, facilitating for the transition of vegetation and environments into spring, summer, fall and winter

4️⃣ 🧍 early testing on our NPC system with simple navigation and various states of animation to clearly convey their feeling or current activity

5️⃣ 🐟 early testing of our first animal system spawning various sea animals into bodies of water in various locations

6️⃣ 🚢 further testing of our logistics system, with vehicles and ships moving on, over and through the terrain

7️⃣ 🏢 further testing of our megacity system, pushing the limits for larger megacities with an awesome view distance

You will find little bugs if you look hard enough so it's important to understand it's a #WIP! We just thought we would share some of the footage because it came together nicely.

All in all we have made some really good progress through 2023 not only via #feature releases on the website but also development & progress on #E2V1.

People have been very patient but I realise many would just like some dates locked in, so:

1⃣ Official #Earth2 #Whitepaper #Q12024 and;
2⃣I want to confirm we are committed to launching #Essence on or around #BTC #halving in close proximity to a separate big event we're working on around that time.

I was reviewing the #WP recently & I saw a number of adjustments I thought we could make to benefit anyone who is holding #Essence, especially long term. Sometimes when you revisit something you see things you didn't see before.

There will be some #bombshells confirmed in the #WP & I believe many will see the benefits of these changes, at least over time when the results are more apparent. We just need some more time with our lawyers when they return back in January as there are a number of areas which need to be edited then reviewed again.

The good news is that at a high level our lawyers think the changes look ok (but they did say the devil is always in the detail).

In addition to this, we also need more time to remap the effects my changes will have on the pre-existing #tokenomics system, especially regarding the long term projections.

But for now, to provide some better insight for our passionate supporters who follow #Earth2 and myself closely, I want to share details around some of the changes I am looking to make. Why? So the additional time we need makes more sense, and more importantly, so that waiting for the official #WP is a little less of a burden for our closest supporters to carry by having an idea on what's incoming.

Therefore, here are a few details specifically for you guys outlining some, not all, of the changes I have on the table:

🔹a reduction from the original 5 billion total supply we previously confirmed (somewhere between 3-4b, a significant overall reduction), so you could look at this as a major 20-40% token burn before we have even started
🔹an increase percentage size of the #Essence #Player earn pool
🔹a mechanic which will see the #Player pool & #Earth2 team pool form a long term symbiotic relationship
🔹a (potential) supply cap on T1/T2 land
🔹a predefined systematic halving formula which will automatically execute based on a number of variables initiating disinflationary mechanics

So for those securing your #land #portfolio or #holding, claiming E-ther, #Raiding and so forth, this is a crystal clear message to enjoy it when it lasts & before a few things start to change.

There will also be times in the future where #Essence becomes disinflationary & competition for every fraction of E-ther floating around out there will increase. These are the days of abundance, enjoy them while they last.

I'm happy for the people who have already made some amazing returns from #Earth2, trading their land and in some cases selling out, but there is also a part of me that thinks they may regret it one day and I'd love for those who have continued supporting the project to benefit greater long term. This thought drives me to work harder toward making that a reality, though I realise that reality may take time and be a long, difficult journey.

We have a huge year coming up in 2024 with a lot to do! The year may start of slow in terms of feature releases as we'll be focusing heavily on development of the pre-alpha but over the course of 2024 we will finally see the very first dawning of #Essence & #E2V1!!!

Just a note, I have been so busy this year I have not had time to even think about any #shanta giveaways, so any time I drop 🌍✌️in a tweet, anyone who retweets will go into a draw to get some nice #land prizes.

@theshaneisaac I want Manhattan T3 in New York. I entered Earth 2 on December 15, 2021. Therefore, I didn't see any benefits of Tier 1 and didn't even get the very early benefits of Tier 2. So I have a strong desire for American tiles. I hope Manhattan opens first with T3.
