Ossoff: This war in Iran is the worst foreign policy blunder since Iraq. And just like the Iraq War, it's a war built on lies. Let’s update the record:
On day one, the president said it was running ahead of schedule. On day 10, he said it was very complete . Day 21, getting very close . Day 32, leaving very soon . On day 39, the President of the United States said a whole civilization will die…
And on the next day, day 40, he declared total and complete victory . Day 67, great progress. Day 79, the clock is ticking. Today is day 92 . And on day 92 Iran's ballistic missiles and drones have not been destroyed. The Strait of Hormuz, which was opened before the war is still closed. The regime is intact along with its stockpile of highly enriched uranium—a stockpile Iran only built after President Trump shredded President Obama's Iran deal
It is time for all of us to realize that Trump is unable to make any deal.
He can't think straight.
He lies all the time.
He cheats everybody.
He knows nothing.
The only relevant deal he made, the USMCA, he disowns.
The US can't negotiate internationally as long as Trump stays.
Trump's war on Iran is likely to go down in history as the most miserable US failure.
On a positive note, Trump has shown how important thinking, planning, appointment of competent staff & intelligence are.
Hopefully the US will never again elect such a substandard president.
Trump on Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince MBS today:
“He didn’t think he would be kissing my ass. He really didn’t. And now he has to be nice to me. He better be nice to me.”
This is how the President of the United States describes America’s most important Gulf ally.
The same Saudi Arabia that:
— Cut oil production by 6.7 million barrels
— Whose energy infrastructure Iran threatened to destroy
— Who the US needs to keep oil markets stable
— Who Trump is asking to join the Iran war
Diplomatic relationships are built over decades.
Trump just described the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia as someone kissing his body parts — on camera — while asking him for military cooperation.
France got an 8 out of 10. Japan got Pearl Harbor. Saudi Arabia got this.
The isolation of America is not just a policy failure.
It is a daily practice.
The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. "HANG THEM", he posted.
If you're a person of influence in this country and you haven't picked a side, maybe now would be the time to pick a fucking side.
