@gkcs_ It's true what you said. I also feel the same. But there is an issue that this mindset also plagues recruiters. I think having a fang in your resume can really put your resume on a higher level.
@JoeVishal14@rishibagree The reason the incident is called "riot" is proof that both parties had suffered from it. So it makes no sense that a particular group was only affected after the incident.
@dox_aq@sanjg2k1@suchitrav@_sayema Then by that logic won't every illegal construction be indestructible on the pretext that someone is either living in it or Making a livelihood, due to "humanitarian" reasons.
@The_Vedic_Kid I guess maybe it was colonialism in action. It was an accepted trait that 'modern' meant being English in all ways possible. In the book itself we read about Raja ram Mohan Roy's letter requesting for English literature over our own Bharatiya literature.
@DeepikaSharmaa_ That's the problem. You automatically assume that someone wants to put aside some differences as an admirer.
I don't admire him.
And by that logic, if I read something about a different religion such as islam, I am an admirer of it!??
@DeepikaSharmaa_ No one is begging for sympathy. I just want to state that the following opinion was made because I have not read that much.
If you are under the assumption that everyone wants to argue, then it's your problem.
@DeepikaSharmaa_ Ok just read them. Yea some of them are spiteful towards Hinduism. Which was uncalled for.
Still though I am willing to put aside them and will at least try to read some of his opinions on Pakistan.
@DeepikaSharmaa_ There is no need for such air quotes, I am just trying to state what my limited knowledge understands.
On a side note if you know people whose ideologies match with yours and in your opinion better than JSD.
Please do Share.
I would love to read or listen to them!
@DeepikaSharmaa_ You can disagree with Ambedkar but there are some good points made by him too in his books.
His position is basically don't glorify him but don't reject a person's ideologies just because you hold a personal grudge
@DeepikaSharmaa_ As far as my opinion is concerned. Ambedkar readings are suggested because he does not mince his words as far as any religion is concerned.
So we should have an open mind whenever consuming his criticism on Hinduism attributing to his anger towards the caste system and all.
@DeepikaSharmaa_ I had seen one of his recent talks, where he clarified his position on Ambedkar. That one should read about Ambedkar on economics, law etc. But should avoid reading him when it comes to Hindu religion. Or if you do so, then listen to his opinions with a mountain of salt.
