The Minister of State for Veterans Affairs (Defence), Grace Akifeza Ngabirano, has congratulated seven couples who solemnized their marriages, describing the occasion as an important milestone in their lives.

Minister Akifeza said sponsoring the mass wedding was part of her commitment to encouraging more couples to legalize and solemnize their marriages in church.

She called on married couples to remain united, serve as role models to other families, share responsibilities, and invest in income-generating activities to improve their household livelihoods.

The minister emphasized that stable and strong families play a crucial role in promoting peace, economic development, and moral values within communities.

Today I joined H.E the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Gen (Rtd) @KagutaMuseveni at the National Defence College–Uganda (NDC-U) in Njeru, Buikwe District, for the graduation ceremony of 21 UPDF officers of intake 04 (2025/26). In my remarks, I called on the graduates to reflect on how ready we are as a country to defend our nation against modern security threats.

Today, NCHR convened a #ValidationWorkshop on the impact assessment of its monitoring activities in places of detention. It brought together key stakeholders to validate the findings and strengthen recommendations to protect the rights and dignity of persons deprived of liberty.

Today, I had the honor of joining Rt.Hon Speaker of Parliament @ObothOboth and other dignitaries at the handover ceremony of the Office of the General Secretary of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) as we officially welcomed our new General Secretary.
