Looked at from the point of view of scripture and Church history, what we are seeing is the natural punishment for apostasy. And that punishment will intensify until people stop deluding themselves that there is any solution, political or otherwise, short of a return to the faith

Jesus invites us to be free and not enslaved to sin, vices, destructive behaviors, and the old way of living. When we rely on his grace and saving power and follow his commands and teachings, we are transformed and life changes for the better. In Jesus, we are truly free!

This is what a 34-week-old baby looks like outside the womb.
In Virginia, democrat politicians are trying to make it legal to abort an unborn baby at this age.
The only difference is the child’s location.
Virginia slipped an abortion amendment in your ballot.
The legislation expands abortion up to birth, restricts parental rights, and endangers the health and safety of women and young girls.
Stop this irreversible damage before it’s too late.
Virginia: Vote NO on the RRF Amendment.
Like Martha, we may be “anxious and worried about many things.” So, Jesus invites us to sit as his feet. Time spent in prayer - speaking and listening to the Lord - will lessen our anxiety. Perhaps Jesus is telling you today to focus less on the “doing” and more on the “being.”
St. Faustina points us to the Lord’s divine mercy. She reminds us that there is no sin greater than his love for all who approach him with a contrite and repentant heart. He longs to forgive us; to relieve us of guilt and shame; and to heal our wounds. “Jesus, I trust in you.”
Friends, when Paul says, “Have no anxiety at all,” he doesn’t mean eliminating all fear and worry. And the clue is in what he says next: “But in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.”
Paul knows that, like an ocean, the surface of our lives will always have crashing waves and winds. But just as the ocean’s depths remain perfectly serene despite the storm above, we, too, can find peace by moving to a deeper and more central place: the place where you are here and now being created by God.
Root your life in Christ—and you will find serenity despite any and all anxiety.
St Jerome, Scripture scholar, said: “When we pray we speak to God; but when we read, God speaks to us.”Therefore, open your Bible today and read a passage from one of the Gospels and see what message Jesus will speak to you today. You might be surprised!
Fulton Sheen explained that since God is the source of our rights, the communist must wage war against God in order to deny the true source of our rights
