But we need our network's help covering (international) travel for the graduate students and early-career researchers attending this unique professional forum, most of whom have limited financial means to pay for these extra expenses themselves! (2)
Despite raising almost 30,000 Euro since October 2023, we're still 7,900 Euro short for the 27th Workshop on National Socialist Camps and Killing Sites, happening in Utrecht from 28 October to 3 November. We've secured accommodation and transport costs (1)
🗓️ From October 28 to November 3, 2024, we’ll gather in Utrecht, Netherlands with 31 participants, 17 of whom will present their research. This year, our focus will be on “Proximities” and “Gaze” as we delve into new methodological approaches in Holocaust studies
🤝 Our aim is to build a strong, interconnected community by encouraging participants to attend the workshop up to three times: as participants, speakers, and organizers. This approach ensures a rich, evolving experience and lasting professional relationships.
Established in 1994, this workshop is uniquely designed by and for emerging scholars and educators in Holocaust studies, promoting a non-hierarchical, open atmosphere that fosters genuine academic exchange and collaboration.

📢 Excited for our workshop in Utrecht, Oct 28-Nov 3! Facing financial challenges due to high costs, inflation, & funding limits. Despite ongoing grant applications, we need your help, friends, followers, & alumni, to meet our budget. Any leads on grants/scholarships? Thanks! 🙏
