Most real thing one of my professors told me last year: develop a more complex identity than just being an academic.
Your research shouldn’t be the only interesting thing about you.
@MaliyahTori @paprikasegg @shaTIRED I can see that. Maybe it would be easier to talk about a different topic. Are there any other non-physical preferences you have that don’t have a reason behind them?
@MaliyahTori @paprikasegg @shaTIRED Sure, I just haven’t heard a reason yet that wasn’t based on a negative stereotype. As for not having a reason at all, I don’t think that’s possible. IMO there’s always a reason, it may just be subconscious.
@MaliyahTori @paprikasegg @shaTIRED I guess I’m just struggling to understand what a reason would be not to date them that isn’t rooted in some kind of negative stereotype or blatant falsehood. If they like you & you like them, why would them being bi change anything unless you have a negative perception of bi ppl?
@Seis_seis@sportynory I was expecting her to say they were dentists or something. Because I definitely have a friend in a prosthodontics program that costs 100k per year. But I can’t imagine going into that amount of debt for a job with a salary that’s barely breaking six figures.
@bruh45899244@Hyullian@vidsthatgohard Idk the orientation of these particular women, but girls kissing each other for the gaze of a man (literally holding a camera) is PEAK straight behavior lol.
@shimmydeans Man, say that again. It wasn’t until I hit my 30s that I fully acknowledged your girl is traumatized 😂. And I’m not the only one. It’s crazy to me that the dating world for women-who-date-men is so bad that many of us walk away with lifelong scars and it’s just normalized.
@alliev132 @BittieBoss …where the date “falls apart” because we’ve been physically violated in some way. So now we don’t wait for that. We trust our intuition and respond to the first signs of discomfort.
@alliev132 @BittieBoss (but always with a smile and a justification). By the time enough of the small things add up to become an undeniable red flag, it can be too late. As women in our 20s-30s, we’ve had many experiences where we’ve given men the benefit of the doubt and been burned by it.
@Xr_monX@JessiAlexi@shaTIRED Welcome to my business. Feel free to have a look around 😂.
I haven’t been with a queer man (that I can remember 😅) but I’m very open to it.
@JessiAlexi@shaTIRED Sorry I should have clarified I was responding exclusively to the lyrics of the song and the mindset behind it—I don’t presume to know anything about your sex life 😅.
@JessiAlexi@shaTIRED The sentiment of that lyric is precisely what I can’t stand about most heterosexual sex 😂. Why is it a race? Why is orgasm the end goal? Why is my pleasure foreplay while yours is the main attraction? The best sex I ever had was with a man that completely de-centered orgasm.
