Main Maritime Trade Routes and Chokepoints:
In the map below see on two of the main maritime routes there are the following chokepoints:
- Bab-Al-Mandeb strates - 30km wide, near the Houthis of Yemen
- Hormouz strates - controlled by Iran

As you can see the route that passes through Bab-Al-Mandeb is one of the main routes from SEA to Europe (and Israel) as well as to the east coast of USA.

Maritime trade makes 90% of goods transported around the world as it is the most cost efficient way to transport goods.

@BriannaWu It isn't "Yemen" launching missiles at you, it's the "Houthis" which sometimes means the Houthi forces and in this case may mean Iranian forces on the ground in Yemen.
