Lydia Chemu’s story is one that stays with you.
In 2015, her life looked full of promise. She married a gospel artist and pastor. Their union was rooted in faith, and soon they welcomed a beautiful daughter. For a while, everything seemed steady.
Then 2019 came, and the marriage collapsed. Hoping for a new beginning, Lydia entered a second relationship with a man named Kim Jerry. They had a child together. What followed was years of pain.
According to Lydia, the home became a place of daily violence. Kim would beat her over the smallest things. There were nights he came home late and, in acts that still shock those who hear them, threw the children through the window. He constantly reminded her firstborn that he was not her real father and forbade the little girl from calling him dad.
When her former husband learned of the abuse, he stepped in and took their daughter to live with his family.
Lydia and Kim later moved to Nairobi after he found work. When the job ended, they were evicted over unpaid rent. A friend in Rongai offered them a place to stay, but the violence continued until the homeowner could no longer watch and asked them to leave.
Lydia finally returned to Eldoret, leaving Kim behind. They later reunited after he promised to change. The promise did not last. The assaults started again.
She says she cannot easily return to her parents because of personal issues, leaving her feeling trapped between pain and limited options.
Someone is born male, later chooses to crossdress and identifies as a woman. Now the debate they're introducing is that they should be allowed to use the same washrooms as other women in clubs. A man with a well functioning makagare wants to be allowed to the women's toilets. What irritates me even more is the hypocrisy.
The last time one of these Mrengo guy hit my car, the retarded mumu wanted me to address them as a lady instead of taking responsibility for the damage. Respect is a two way street. Your identity does not exempt you from accountability. We Must protect our daughters from these Mumus.
We have normalized a lot of stupidity from these mentally disturbed men. There's no gender called queer, just because you're dressed as a woman doesn't qualify you to be identified as one. In fact, they shouldn't be allowed anywhere near clubs, because this is pure conmanship to the drunkards.
And they've become a menace, they do everything in the open nowadays. Is the society failing to address this immorality? Kama kawa sisi walala hoii hatuna maoni, Letu Jicho tu.👀

Among the Kamba, it’s rare today to find a group of ten ladies where half of them aren’t already single mothers.
This “nenga muti” thing has really wasted our ladies.
Taking your son a private primary where you pay 120k per term so that he can ‘network’ with other children with rich parents is what in my local language we call premium Ughasia. Class 4 mtoto ananetwork nini ?

I would like to sincerely thank Mr. @HyssopKeCEO, the CEO of @hyssopke, for what you have done for this team.
They were judged unfairly and labelled because of where they come from. But when you heard their story, despite not even being in the country, you called me and said you had to do something for them. Honestly, I never expected it to be this much!
They never, even in their wildest dreams, imagined that something like this could happen to them. One day, we shall tell their stories and share the journey that brought them this far.
Receive your flowers, Naff Mwangi. May your taps never run dry! 🙏🏽

A 22-year-old from Pipeline was rushed to Pumwani last night after aborting her 7-month pregnancy. The baby was still alive — weighed only 1.2kg and was put straight into an incubator.
She was married, but the pregnancy belonged to another man. Her husband wanted nothing to do with it. The man responsible also disappeared. So she chose the marriage over the child. Even at the hospital, she said she has no regrets and doesn’t want the baby if it survives. Prophet Kanyari is the one who got both of them admitted and has offered to take the child.
At what point did a baby’s life become the price of keeping a man? And where are the two men who created this situation while a 22-year-old is left carrying the consequences alone?
That 1.2kg baby didn’t ask to be born into this.
