The thing is, quite a few people don’t even know who they voted for or what those parties actually stand for.
The party abbreviations are so similar that by the evening they no longer remember who they even picked.

They’re not interested in politics or public affairs, and they have no idea what’s really going on or what the EU is approving or what's happening in the UK. And when you tell them, they don’t believe it or they are surprised.

I wonder whether people behaved this irresponsibly even in 1948 — unaware of what was happening around them, and that’s why they didn’t leave.
