Hmm, lovely, but note she still has an hour glass. The washing's coming out soon, and she needs to go and hang it up. Or perhaps she has a Zoom call to dash to? #wfh
@UCT_news The link for the 2pm Undergraduate Funding session goes instead to The New Emerging Nature of Career Pathways. Please tweet link for the Undergraduate Funding session. Thanks
@Macchupeach@oldenoughtosay I shouldn't really, but what the hell... I had to get to the airport, shuttle didn't arrive. I opened the gate onto the street to find my father sitting in the car waiting. He'd driven half an hour. I hadn't called him.
@Mslexia Hoping to finalise the use of a new poem in a #Pearson publication. Working on some material for publishsa/PASA. A writer's got to pay bills sometimes too...
@Discovery@discoveryplus I mean, it's fine you're cooking bobotie, but please please the pronunciation is so kak! The emphasis is on the second syllable buh-*bour*-tea. If the phonetics at https://t.co/kSWdBfo0eC are too much, listen at https://t.co/QgZKjE96By
@TheTitanBaddie@BinweA What? The one where 3rd became 3nd? Or the one where her mic stand has a mic in it AND there's one in her hand? The mind boggles. Proofreader or editor would have been cheap at the price.
@book_lounge This is a business I want to see continue for a long time. They revolutionised bookselling in CT with their launches and events. #Mybooklounge Here's to another 14 years at least!
"None of the Scottish cases have any travel history, said Scotland’s deputy first minister, John Swinney, suggesting community transmission is under way." https://t.co/I8jVn82kMU So maybe the horse has bolted?
Just so we're clear. Pupils in primary and secondary schools in SA wear masks throughout the school day except when they are eating/drinking. This includes exams. Since Apr 2020, no break even though currently level 1 restrictions.
@TelGlobalHealth The end of this article:"Cases have rocketed up from about 550 a day last week to almost 4,000 a day currently." Per https://t.co/bVKuJ6NLZB for Fri 26 Nov: 2828 new cases a day in SA, not "almost 4000" in Gauteng province alone
@YesWeCrann@LindiMazibuko Yes, oh yes. I mean, I sort of get it. If you've been messing up so badly at home, you need to be seen to be doing something to "protect Xmas". But really? An outside and inside mask mandate might do the trick, without killing off SA economy.
@guardiannews 07:56 Covid update:"The number of confirmed Omicron Covid cases in South Africa is still relatively low, with 2,828 new confirmed cases recorded on Friday". Sounds like 2,828 Omicron cases but only 77 are Omicron. SA 2,828 TOTAL new cases Fri vs 40,000 in UK.
