I’m listening to the show and hearing what you’re saying about code switching. I’m guilty of that, due to upbringing. My mom required speaking properly, but she always left me with family members
who demanded slang. My kids were not taught to code switch, though.

@SylviaKAlston Girl… I lived in student housing with my sons, for two years! There’s more to that story, but the short of the long is I left with my Masters and my oldest and I graduated together. I tried to stay away for a year, but when he said it was hard, Mom and brother packed and moved!
