@day9tv My favorite thing about this is I have notifications on for your tweets, & even though I didn't open the notif. for this one, twitter still sent me a suggested notif. for piratesoftware even though I have no idea what/who that is. But now I've engaged so it'll be all I see. Lolol
When we’re not doing something we want/need to be doing, we often pull on the Motivation lever.
But often, it’s a lot more effective to pull the Accessibility lever. What would make this task more ACCESSIBLE? Then we don’t need as much motivation to do it! Now, AND in the future
@day9tv I just booked a really important (and rather unpleasant) medical procedure after enduring several years of constant medical trauma.
I feel so brave! (And anxious...)
@day9tv Spiritfarer. Such a good game.
I have never once seen it recommended without "but keep a box of tissues nearby" and all of those recommendations were correct.
I don't know who needs to see this, but if you've woken up in middle of the night and can't get back to sleep, take care of your sensory needs. Go get water if thirsty, use the bathroom, put on chapstick, blow your nose, adjust the temp... whatever your body needs. It will help.
@DisneyDLV ⌛⌛⌛ I was upset to see the announcement about not being free to play & having such a high price tag on a paid expansion, but seeing how much work is going into it and how much we'll get out of that expansion, I can absolutely see the value now. So excited!
Sometimes my brain won’t work on what I want it to work on & it’s not because I have trouble focusing.
Sometimes it’s because I’m dealing with multiple accessibility issues/have been pushing myself too hard & my brain is very reasonably informing me it can’t work like this.
Intellectually, I know that I can't just run away to be a hermit in the woods to avoid my sensory issues.
Emotionally, though, I really, really want to just run away to be a hermit in the woods to avoid my sensory issues
less telling disabled people to "Get out of your comfort zone!"
more encouraging abled people to "Help make society in general more comfortable - & safe, informed, accessible, welcoming, inclusive, etc."
