🚨 Ironically, Indian Media Didn’t Cover This
Three Indian teenagers created Plas-stick, a biodegradable powder from tamarind seeds that removes microplastics from water without electricity or complex machinery
They won the 2026 Earth Prize, making India proud 🇮🇳
How brilliant rejuvenation of rivers transforms rural Gujarat 🇮🇳.
Amreli district in Gujarat untill very recently was a desolate place. The rivers were silted and dead. It was very dry. Young people left for Surat and other cities.
Then something incredible happened - the miracle of water. Dholakia Foundation, supported by the government of Gujarat, built 180 dams and lakes. They widened and deepened the riverbeds. Water is back - big time. The monsoon starts this week.
With water farmers who depended on one crop, can have two or three. Fruits like mango grow everywhere. Trees are planted across Amreli. With forests deer and wild pigs return. And with access to prey lions start inhabiting the region, outside the national park. This is the endangered Asian lion, so the increase in lion numbers matters a lot.
Congrats with great work in Amreli. Please connect to Dholakia Foundation for inspiration if you wish to replicate elsewhere.
In #MadhyaPradesh’s Khandwa, a bid devoted to curbing blood shortages by linking it to religious tourism has borne fruit. The authorities here have offered free #VIP entry into #Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga temple since Feb in exchange for blood donations.

Indian-origin Rushabh Patel gave his life saving two strangers in the UK.
28-year-old Rushabh was enjoying a picnic with his wife Mili and 18-month-old daughter Vrumi when he saw two people struggling in the water near Milton Keynes.
Without hesitation, he jumped in to save them. Rushabh suffered a cardiac arrest during the rescue and tragically passed away days later.
Even in death, he saved 5 more lives through organ donation.
Yet don't expect this story to dominate global headlines. Acts of extraordinary courage by Indians rarely receive the same attention that anti-India narratives do.

My latest in US News & World Report. When Bruce Willis received his dementia diagnosis, the doctor handed his wife Emma a pamphlet and told her to come back in a few months. She said she walked out of that office feeling completely alone.
If you are at the beginning of your own caregiving journey, I hope this piece helps you feel a little less alone. Please amplify and share, so we can help other caregivers know that they are not alone. ❤️

India has sent 96 people to America who started billion dollar companies. No one else is even close.
There's only about 5 million Indians in America. Almost one in 50,000 of them is a unicorn founder!
What a holy, special, beautiful people.
I will always fight for them.

After seeing this girl teach children for free on the roadside, he handed her the money/blessings he had earned after hours of hard work.

Secret Revealed - why you feel so positive in Gaushala ❤️
There is something that happens when you sit with these gentle souls.
Your breathing slows. Your shoulders drop. The noise in your head gets quieter. You don’t plan it. You don’t even try. It just happens. That’s your nervous system recognising something it has always known.
In Puranic tradition, the cow is called Kamadhenu, the wish-fulfilling one. Not because she grants desires. But because proximity to her is said to dissolve the conditions that create disease. Our scriptures didn’t separate the emotional from the physical. They understood something modern research is only beginning to map, that peace is biological. That when your nervous system feels safe, your body heals.
The ancient texts speak of the benefit of being in the presence of cows. The air around them, the sound of their breathing, even the act of caring for them was considered therapeutic. Disease was understood not just as a physical event but as a disconnection from nature and from self.
We now call it the parasympathetic nervous system. Vagal tone. Heart rate variability. The nervous system shifting from fight or flight into rest and repair. We now know that chronic sympathetic activation, the state most of us live in, suppresses immunity, disrupts digestion, elevates inflammatory markers, and disrupts hormonal rhythm.
Time in nature, especially with animals measurably shifts this. Not metaphorically. Physiologically.
If you ever feel unwell and you cannot explain why, come back to something that has never forgotten how to simply be. That might be enough to remind your body too.
