@Getitright_1 @CKI73043206 @Andy Ok how about the actual round. Handguns are typical thru and thru wounds creating cleaner channels (they move slower, and have less mass) whereas .223 and the like are “tumblers” and way faster moving - causing both larger and more devastating wound cavities.

@BckwrdsPolitics Nor does owning a bolt action hunting rifle have anything to do with owning a semi-automatic low caliber, high-powered rifle. You don’t hunt with it. Assault type rifles make poor home defense arms. So what purpose do they serve?

@BckwrdsPolitics I specifically didn’t use the term assault. Oh and unless you have military/police training “clearing” your home with any type of rifle is not only difficult, but the likelihood of pass through is extremely high. Thats why low velocity rounds are best for home defense.
