Seeing red, #Portland? Red paint hit the streets TODAY on SW Main between 1st and 2nd. Red paint signifies a transit-only lane, helping speed up buses and transit.
Thanks for respecting the red ❤
Officials from @BMTC_BENGALURU were directing all buses towards #Marathahalli onto the service road, away from the main carriageway at #SilkBoard junction yesterday. This is being done in preparation for the upcoming dedicated bus lane, #NimBus on #ORR
In my first blog post, I share some insights from my field visit about #NimBus the dedicated @BMTC_BENGALURU bus lane project in #Bengaluru along #ORR Just three more days to go for the official launch on 1st Nov, 2019!

@BBMPCOMM@CMofKarnataka @csogok @KarnatakaVarthe@blrcitytraffic@BMTC_BENGALURU Curious to see arrangements made for 1st Nov launch, I went on a field trip. Kept looking both ways from Silk Board till KR Puram but did not find any bus lane bollards. Met a commuter who told me that bollards were removed after a week and it's just the double yellow lanes now.
NOW: Our 2nd #BusConf2019 panel with C SHIKA from @BMTC_BENGALURU , Langchao JI from Beijing Public Transport Holding m, Michael HU from @YutongGlobal, Håkan AGNEVALL from @VolvoGroup & Jean-Marc DUCROS from @groupekeolis focusing this time on intelligent & connected buses!
@googlemaps Hey @GoogleMaps & @GoogleDevsIN I loved building this insightful chart today using your Directions API today. I am hoping this is fair use of your API. Can you confirm it before I scale it up for important routes in Bengaluru like Outer Ring Road, Kanakapura Road, etc?
Kept #SilkBoard approximately in the middle and looked at how long it takes to cross it. At present it is about 7 minutes in the #Whitefield direction and 16 mins in the #Banashankari direction.
#Bengaluru#Traffic
Thanks to @GoogleMaps API, I logged how long it took to cross #SilkBoard both ways. At peak traffic, the prediction was 24 mins for a 1.5 kms at a speed of 3.75 kms/hour towards #Banashankari A steep decline after 08:00 PM and the two charts almost touch each other in the end!
Identified a bug in my script today, thanks to the data visualizer below the map on #keplergl The impact of the fix, quite big! Want to take this opportunity to thank @heshan_cheri@UberOpenSource and everybody involved for a truly impactful tool in https://t.co/pqOMRzM3fc

Bus route 401M between Kengeri TTMC and Yeshwanthpura is the @BMTC_BENGALURU route with the highest frequency. There are a total of 266 trips scheduled between the two bus stops every day at a rate of one bus every ~5 mins 👏
#Bengaluru#BMTC
Super impressed 🙏 by the coverage of @BMTC_BENGALURU Thanks to about 6 hours of Vehicle Tracking System (VTS) dataset from last week's Data Jam organised by @DataKindBLR Interestingly only 33% of the data collected is from when the buses are in motion.
