If the Spurs wanted to line their pockets, theyโd have done what other teams did โ move to Vegas or Seattle and cash out. Instead, theyโre betting on this city with $2.1 billion of their own money. Saying this project is only for people at the top is like saying the Riverwalk was built for the ducks.
Voting yes doesnโt fill their wallets it fills our city with jobs, tourism, the energy weโve been missing downtown, and an exciting future that can be the foundation of a domino effect of growth.
Itโs funded by visitors, not locals, and keeps the Spurs right where they belong fueling the growth here for decades to come.
Your vote matters. This is a rare time in your life where you have a say on how you want the future of San Antonio to look. Don't mess around and show up
Prop A and Prop B Numbers:
๐๐ฝ There will be NO increase to property or sales taxes. The arena will be funded by visitor taxes.
๐๐ฝ No money is being taken from city or county budgets. General funds stay intact for housing, flooding and other needs.
๐๐ฝ State law limits these new revenue sources to promoting tourism only.
๐๐ฝ The San Antonio Spurs and their partners are investing $2.1 billion in San Antonio. $500 million toward arena construction,
$1.5 billion in job-creating development projects, and
$75 million in community benefit initiatives.
๐๐ฝ The Spurs โ not taxpayers โ will pay every extra dollar if there are cost overruns.
VOTE YES.
