If the Spurs wanted to line their pockets, they’d have done what other teams did — move to Vegas or Seattle and cash out. Instead, they’re betting on this city with $2.1 billion of their own money. Saying this project is only for people at the top is like saying the Riverwalk was built for the ducks.
