I am not casteist, nor do I want to become one. However, when I hear hateful things about my community in society, I feel compelled to become casteist.

Dalits openly talk about having relationships with Brahmin girls, Dalit IAS officers demand Brahmin girls for their sons, and there are even claims that people are offered 15 to 16 crore rupees for converting upper caste girls (like in the Chhingur Baba case).

I feel I have to become casteist to protect my existence. This is because I will never be able to live as one in a society with those who want to marry a Brahmin girl just for 'social equality' or want to change someone's religion to have children.

There is nothing wrong with becoming casteist to save one's existence.
