Meet Jonas Lekganyane.

A self-taught animator who took a path many fear… dropping out of university. But what looked like a setback became the foundation of something powerful.

With no formal training, just passion, creativity, and belief in his vision, he built Rams Comics — a 2D animation company born right in Johannesburg.

Then came the breakthrough.

He created “The Adventures of Noko Mashaba” — a proudly South African animated series that connected with people in a real, relatable way.

One episode, “Noko vs Izikhothane”, didn’t just trend… it made HISTORY.

It became the most watched YouTube video in South Africa in 2014, recognized by Google. 📈🇿🇦

From a dropout… to dominating the internet.

And he didn’t stop there.

In 2015, Noko Mashaba won a FAME Award for Best Comedian, proving that animation, storytelling, and culture can break every boundary.
