Personally I’m for letting schools make whatever rules they want - including both masks and dress codes. I think choosing only one isn’t super consistent.

Which means there’s also an argument for stopping mask mandates over stopping dress codes.

@XA__Alexander @e_cdalton @markallanbovair I think it make sense - going from 38% to 25% is roughly a 33% drop. And this is in households, where you’re constantly exposed to the virus. Overall drop is 50-60%.

The article says household spread for the alpha variant was reduced by 60%, vs 97% or so overall. Seems in line.

@markallanbovair @XA__Alexander @e_cdalton Nobody claims the vaccine is perfect. The claim is only that being vaccinated offers you some protection against spread and makes cases more mild when it DOES spread.

Unfortunately tragedies like this can still happen. They’d just happen more if everyone was unvaxxed.
