@bjaystorm1@Superguy551 because some people do not want to pay double for what is essentially the same game, and some people are good at avoiding spoilers
Pomni, we can't both exist. I'm going to become half of you. And I need you to know that every moment you love being yourself, that's me, loving you and loving being you. Because you're going to be something extraordinary. You're going to be a fortnite skin.
@Nycureamy1@ffemme4butch@wispiicoatl it's about how angel dust was not included with the main cast so he could be drawn celebrating pride with his rapist
@TannenbergBltz if making abstract concepts functionally relate to real world concepts doesn't make a good analogy then what does. your only argument is that it's too bizarre when that does not define how good an analogy is
@TannenbergBltz i just don't think every single design choice needs to have a deep and impactful weight on the entire narrative. digital characters can't truly die, so goose added a more unique method of "passing away." it serves its purpose well and people understand it. what more does it need?
@TannenbergBltz there's always going to be someone who doesn't understand. but a majority of the people talking about it understand, at a minimum, that it is a reference to death, and it does not take a lot of explaining for them to pick up on the rest of the implications for it being suicide
@TannenbergBltz@MarcoColmy@clnnapupp@us_among42921 if thats how you choose to interpret it. i thought it was done very well especially considering their audience is picking up on it effortlessly despite how conceptual it is
@Xittermoreliken@NadindraSo58760@WiggerMaggot it's just frustrating for other people to see because rape victims are always made out to be a joke on this app so it comes off as disheartening when someone makes art for it only for everyone to joke about it
@TannenbergBltz@MarcoColmy@clnnapupp@us_among42921 well metaphors aren't 1:1. allegories and metaphors do not have to be perfectly communicate every part of what they're trying to convey as long as the audience understands it, and it seems that everyone is picking up on how abstraction is the closest thing to death and suicide
@TannenbergBltz@MarcoColmy@clnnapupp@us_among42921 no, but death is as sudden, irreversible and devastating as abstraction is for the characters in the circus. there is nothing that can be done for the abstracted because they are gone, in the same way there is nothing that can be done for the dead. you're taking it too literally
@TannenbergBltz@MarcoColmy@clnnapupp@us_among42921 it's because you're focusing too much on the abstraction part when the metaphor is in the process leading up to it and the impact it has on the abstracted and everyone who cared about them. it's so sudden and once it happens all you can do is mourn and wonder what went wrong
@DFGJSIDN yes that's what an implication is. it doesn't directly confirm anything, but multiple scenes (the ending with leroy, the door, the maid scenes, his conversation with ribbit, etc...) and multiple things gooseworx has said about him only make sense if jax was intended to be trans
i’m noticing that people only bring up the fact that we have bigger issues within the queer community when its lesbians talking about lesbophobia and invalidation
