I have Xbox discs that really only serve as a license and you still have to download the entire game. They all need to put the whole game on a disc or 2 or 3 discs, if that's what it takes.

@Masterchiefin21 Also worth mentioning is the fact that I just recently read a story about someone who has basically created game cartridges out of their Steam games using SSD's, so that gives us a way to preserve the digital games we have purchased on Steam. You can't do that with a console.

@RuggedTheDragon @LilithLovett I have often seen physical disc versions cheaper than the digital. Peole with digital only consoles have no choice. They HAVE to pay whatever price Sony sets for what is basically a rental that they can take away any time they feel like it. They cant buy a used copy at Gamestop.

Then, they are stuck buying digital games because they cant use a physical disc. They cant buy a used disc at Gamestop, or on ebay, etc.
