Staying in the Word....
Trusting the Word....
Applying the Word....
Always, always, always transforms our minds. The way we think WILL change.

Commitment to God is based on feelings because our feelings fluctuate.
They can pull us to the left and suddenly to the right.
We have to surrender our minds to God so that our minds can help us to stay committed to God.

Jeremiah understood where discouragement comes from.
He got that even if things are going well, we can still become discouraged. It's because it comes from a place in our hearts that isn't healthy.

The moment Peter started paying attention to all the details around him,
He took his focus off Jesus. He started to sink.

Our pure and genuine actions towards others bear a direct correlation to our commitment to God.

Like Jesus, we should be willing to do kind and gracious things for others despite their past actions or choices.
Why?
They may not deserve it, but neither do we and yet Jesus is kind to us anyway.
