“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.
And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.”
~Albert Camus
“Here let me show you the proper way to phrase it” is the height of arrogance and condescension. @shannonsharpeee wrote it exactly as they wanted to. Your weak endeavor to correct them is a blatant attempt at silencing.
@MOhia_Nowak @kayewhitehead Wish I knew more. I haven’t found any information. I’m wondering if it’s a museum & this a mummified person. Although laying the person out on a table leaves more questions. The man with the hammer has what looks like a brochure or similar in his hand. Maybe I’m being hopeful.
@NfamousKaye @kayewhitehead True. Another way to think about it would be the inscription is spoken by the chocolate “person” on the table. Instead of “to eat,” “to be eaten.” I’m interested to know from someone who speaks Polish if it could be translated that way. I used Google translate.
Saying “Education really is evangelism” & then calling on Mao and Hitler as evidence of what’s attainable is 🤮 & should be a problem to those who don’t vote, vote against their direct interests, & like to play with their votes. But…FAAFO keeps happening. https://t.co/xQQKLtADee
I’m fascinated by the continued wholesale deployment of Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale by WW since repeal of Roe v. Wade who are perhaps fearing loss of rights for WW. The book was published in 1985. Why now? Which rights? What role does surprise play here?
