Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr., Eminem’s father, left the family when Eminem was still an infant. Raised primarily by his mother, Debbie Mathers, Eminem grew up in and around Detroit, where the family moved frequently and struggled financially.

Throughout his career, Eminem spoke openly about the pain of being abandoned by his father, a subject reflected in songs such as Cleanin’ Out My Closet and My Name Is. As he rose to become one of the world’s biggest artists, his father made several public attempts to reconnect.

In 2001, the year this photo was taken, Marshall Sr. gave interviews expressing regret over how events had unfolded. He claimed he had written letters to his son that were returned unanswered and said he hoped they might one day reconcile.

Eminem, however, never publicly showed any interest in rebuilding the relationship. The years of absence and resentment from his childhood proved impossible to overcome.

His relationship with his mother was also deeply strained for many years. The two publicly criticized each other, and Debbie filed a defamation lawsuit over lyrics she said damaged her reputation. Over time, however, their relationship improved. In 2013, Eminem released Headlights, an apology to his mother that acknowledged both her struggles and the pain they had caused each other.

While he eventually found some measure of peace with his mother, that never happened with his father. Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr. died in Indiana in 2019 at the age of 67, and the two never met again.

Eminem has said that becoming a father changed his perspective on life. He has often explained that one of his greatest priorities was making sure his daughters never experienced the abandonment he endured growing up.

In 1992, a computer error led Pepsi to mistakenly inform around 800,000 people in the Philippines that they had won a major prize. What began as a promotional mishap quickly spiraled into riots, firebomb attacks on company vehicles, and several deaths.

The promotion, called “Number Fever,” was launched by Pepsi in the Philippines to boost sales. Customers purchased bottles and checked the number printed beneath each cap. Every evening, a winning number was announced on television, with the grand prize set at 1 million Philippine pesos, a life-changing sum for many Filipino families at the time.

On May 25, 1992, Pepsi announced that the winning number was 349. However, a computer error had mistakenly printed that number on an estimated 600,000 to 800,000 bottle caps instead of the small number intended. Overnight, hundreds of thousands of people believed they had become millionaires.

Pepsi soon clarified that only bottle caps bearing a special security code were valid, meaning nearly all of the “winning” caps had been printed by mistake. The explanation triggered widespread anger, with many arguing the company should honor the numbers printed on the caps regardless of the error.

Protests soon spread across the country. Delivery trucks were attacked, factories were surrounded by angry crowds, and company property was vandalized. The unrest lasted for months, leading to more than 100 lawsuits. Violent incidents linked to the controversy caused numerous injuries and several deaths, including one resulting from a grenade thrown at a Pepsi truck.

Although Pepsi offered small goodwill payments to affected customers, it refused to pay the full jackpot to the unintended winners. The company ultimately prevailed in court.

The “Number Fever” incident is still studied in business and marketing courses as one of the most famous examples of how a seemingly minor technical mistake can escalate into a nationwide corporate crisis, causing reputational damage far greater than the original error.

For those who take sex very lightly, I leave this information here.

Chakras regenerate every 7 years, so if you've been with a person even once, their energy will stay with you for 7 years. That is if you don't clean there properly.

When you have sex with someone, a whole energetic process begins.
